Quite a few Woolverstone boys have gone on to write books, including Alan Fisk, Alan Gould (a prize-winning, full-time author in Australia, and, of course, Booker Prize and Whitbread Novel Prize winner Ian McEwan.

Others have set their literary sites at a rather more popular level. Alan Posener, who spent a brief time at Woolverstone (Berners, I believe) has had a German book about Elvis Presley published and even I have delved into that same subject with my own book, "Roots Of Elvis."
